We rigorously user tested all of the data visualization tools on Flood iQ.com and found that users actually wanted bar charts rather than iconography and other gauges of severity. I worked with the design and product managers to develop questions and screens for users to click through.
My feature requests for Flood iQ revolved around making the product more human-centered. Users loved the section I added about flood depths’ effects on the home. We noted feature requests and bugs in Github and reviewed them each week.
Sitemapping & Wireframing
Wireframes for a run buddy-finder app. Wireframing helps stakeholders understand an app or site’s functionality before substantially investing in it.
The First Street API sitemap and user flow was a unique project because the product is an umbrella under both the company First Street and its product, Flood iQ, which have separate websites. We decided to house the API info on First Street’s site, so this sitemap is a tiny fraction of the overall sitemap.
